Chocolate chip biscotti are simple to make! Don't get intimidated by this classic Italian snack.

Ingredients
1cuproom temperature butter
1cupgranulated sugar
3large eggs
1tspvanilla extract
3.5cupflour
2tspbaking powder
1/4tspsalt
1cupwalnuts
1cupchocolate drops
Instructions
Beat together butter and sugar. add eggs one by one, then add vanilla extract.
Add eggs to the butter and sugar mixture, one by one, beating in between each egg addition.
Add vanilla extract to the butter, egg, and sugar mixture, then beat.
Whisk together the flour with the baking powder and salt to form a dry ingredient mixture
Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture in small amounts. As you add more flour, you may prefer to knead with your hands.
Add chopped walnuts and chocolate chips to the mixture and mix to incorporate.
Cover dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour.
While the dough is chilling, preheat oven to 300°F
Divide the dough in half, if it is difficult to work with the dough, moisten your hands with water.
Make a loaf shape out of each half of dough and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment.
Bake for 35 minutes until golden at 300°F.
Remove dough from oven, and increase Take out of oven, increase temperature to 350°F (170°С), after the dough has cooled enough to work with, cut into ½ inch slices.
Place cut side down on a baking tray and bake for approximately 7 minutes on one side, then flip and bake and 7 minutes on other side.
Notes
You can cover biscotti with dark or white chocolate for an extra treat!
